Turkey Vulture

This photograph was taken near the waterfall of Arenal Vulcano. The red face and two-tone winged pattern distinguish it from the similar Black Vulture. The wing pattern is similar to the Zone-tailed tailed Hawk.

At the Buena Vista Lodge hotel, this Turkey Vulture circled low overhead

Turkey Vulture taken from the bridge near the Carara biological reserve on the Pacific coast. Also photographed from this bridge were Spotted Sandpiper, Black-necked Stilt, and Zone-tailed Hawk
