Baillon's Crake
Copyright Paul Gale
Baillon's Crake at Grove Ferry, Kent, in June 1999.
This small crake
has a call resembling a frog. It is a very rare visitor to the UK.
This male
spent a lot of time hidden in the reeds. However, at times it came right out into
the open - at one time too close to focus on!
